Threadhopping; sure, unless specified closed.
Fourthwalling; prefer not, but if you have a burning passion, let me know and we can talk.
Backtagging; almost guaranteed. I love having concrete ends to things. I'm cool with handwaving if we have to, but I'm probably game as long as you are.
Physical Contact;
-little things like shoulder pats or friendly elbowings, a-okay, go ahead.
-hugs and similar affectionate gestures, also okay, but will probably result in some bemused looks. Also, be advised that her response to anything beyond hugging is highly weighted in favor of 'slap.'
-violence, I'm probably down with but would prefer we talk about it beforehand to make sure everyone's on the same page. This covers temporary injury, lasting injury, and death.
Mental Contact;
-surface thoughts, knock yourself out if your character's a mind-reader. Anything I've written in the brackets or prose is likely fair game.
-deeper probing, talk to me about it.
Specific
Mana, magic, and life;
Raine is a half-elf, and as such sensitive to mana in people and objects. As far as other worlds are concerned, mana is roughly halfway between magic and life-force: everyone has it, not just mages, and it's necessary to live, but is also used to perform magic if you have the ability. It's also linked closely to the soul in some contexts. Things she is likely to pick up on include: She doesn't constantly pay attention closely, but the perception of mana is just another sense for her, a function of her biology and not something that goes away. If there's something about your character in those categories that stands out, especially if you'd like her to notice, let me know.
For her part, Raine has a slight elemental inclination to light. Further, if your character has any kind of magical or aura sense, Raine will probably feel a little weird on that level. The mana of a half-elf is fairly distinctive if you know what you're looking at, but if you don't, she'll read as not quite right. Not necessarily wrong, per se, but definitely a little strange.
Healing;
Raine's healing magic is based in using her own energy to fuel and accelerate the subject's regenerative rate. That is, the faster a person heals by themselves, the less effort she has to expend to heal them. As of the June festival in Tu Shanshu, her power level for this has been boosted to allow her to heal the average person as fast as she was used to healing people with enhanced regeneration capabilities.
Practically speaking, if you're not allergic to that sort of healing and if she can get to you before death, she can probably fix it.
If you want to delay/put off/nullify healing for dramatic purposes, or if this wouldn't work as planned, or if there are any other anomalies you'd like to tackle, I'd love a heads up.
If there's anything I haven't covered here that you have questions about, or if you just wanna get down with the plotting, give me a heads up by comment or PM or whatever else works for you and I'm more than happy to discuss.
